Fermanagh Creative Writing Group is kicking off our autumn season with a week full of activities – a writing workshop, a quiz night and an afternoon of readings by Northern Ireland writers. The action starts on Saturday, 3rd September with a full day creative writing workshop with experienced tutor, Moyra Donaldson.
Here’s the highlights of the week:
Saturday, 3rd September, 10am – 5pm, Creative Writing workshop with tutor, Moyra Donaldson, Westville Hotel, Tempo Road, Enniskillen. Workshop topics: Elements of a successful short story, magic of metaphor in poetry, and getting published. Places limited. Booking essential. Email fermanaghwriters AT aol.com.
Thursday, 8th September, 7.30pm – Quiz Night at Charlie’s Bar, Church Street, Enniskillen. Entry fee – £20/table (team of 4). Lots of prizes to be won! Challenge your general knowledge and have a fun evening.
Sunday, 11th September, 2-5pm – Readings by Writers, an open mic afternoon for writers to share their work. Come and share your stories and poems and listen to others work. Everyone welcome. We will endeavor to provide the opportunity for as many writers to read their work as time allows. Enniskillen Castle Museum, Barrack Room. Free admission. Refreshments served (nominal cost).
