Our heads were crammed full of information by the end of the writing workshop yesterday tutored by Emily DeDakis, tutor for Queen’s University’s second and third year creative writing courses. But no one was complaining. Writer and dramaturg, Emily, explored how character, structure and style are used to create prose and drama and we left the session with lots to think about and put into practice.

Everyone was so engrossed in the session that no one thought to take any photos of the group. But we won’t deprive you of visual stimuli in this post – here’s Emily reading her own work at another event: http://www.culturenorthernireland.org/article/3106/emily-dedakis-reading-from-the-yellow-nib
