Marie Is Women’s Champion

Congratulations to our member, Mariette Connor who won the Federation of Women’s Institutes’  Dorman Award for the best article of the year in their magazine, Irish Country Woman. She can also be found in Ireland’s Own this winter. Her reminiscence, Christmas Eve, 1940  is printed in Ireland’s Own Christmas Annual 2010.

FCWG Second Annual Kayaking Day

At our second annual kayaking day FCWG members once again proved that writing isn’t our only talent – we managed to successfully navigate Lough Erne without falling in. This is likely mostly due to Tony’s expertise and beginners luck for the rest of us.
