Formed in March 2009, originally Fermanagh Creative Writing Group. Re-branded as Fermanagh Writers in March 2012, to help fit easily on the spines of our books. A growing and active group, Fermanagh Writers members’ diverse backgrounds, writing goals and experience has created a unique entity in County Fermanagh. Some members are only just discovering their writing voice, while others are regularly published, seasoned scribes. Our prose and poetry will entertain, amuse and give the listener or reader pause for thought.
Fermanagh Writers have released three anthologies so far. Tuesdays At Charlie’s, our first collection of stories and poetry was released in May 2012, and was shortlisted in Writing Magazine’s 2012 Anthology contest.
Fermanagh Writers meet weekly at Blakes of the Hollow on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm. Those interested in joining us are most welcome to come along and see what we’re all about. Meetings consist of readings and positive feedback sessions in a comfortable environment. Whether a seasoned writer looking a like minded community, or just taking your first tentative steps into the world of writing, Fermanagh writers offers you a warm welcome.
